Breakfast veggies are always a challenge for me, I just can't warm to salad in the morning. Expecting kids to eat veggies with breakfast is even more of a challenge. So I'm sharing my favorite breakfast veggie recipe with you! One thing to remember is that the amounts of spinach, spices and honey (or other sweetener) can be adjusted to your liking, I rarely measure them myself.
You could half this recipe for only a couple of people, I like to make enough to feed 4 people with leftovers for later.
Throw all these together in a blender and blend until smooth.
4 Tablespoons Coconut Flour
1/8 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1 cup Fresh Spinach
1/4 cup granulated Honey or other sweetness (picture of what I use below)
1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
The batter will be runny, that is the nature of crepes. I've heard two ways to cook them. I use a generous amount of either butter or oil in a stainless pan on low heat, flipping them when the edges are...
Curb Appeal! Should I say it again? Curb Appeal, People!!!
It is so important when selling your home. I know my yard is pretty sparse, it’s tough to find plants that grow well, but don’t take over the yard AND aren’t going to just be instant deer food.
Well if you are selling your home this year you need to do 2 things this week, first is to call me (you saw that coming huh?) the second thing is hit up the awesome plant sales that are happening this weekend in Bellingham.
Score some sweet green curb appeal and then I’ll come over and we’ll figure out the best placement and get your home sold the less stress way!
When: Saturday March 25th, 2017 9:00a.m.-2:00p.m.
Who: The Whatcom Conservation District Native Plant Sale
Where: Whatcom Community College 237 W Kellogg Road, Bellingham Wa 98226
Loan Options. Timing. Watching the market like a hawk. Appealing to the seller. All these things can work together to help get you those keys to that home you've been dreaming of.
It is easy to assume that your loan choice will not be relevant to the seller of the home you want to buy. When a seller has multiple competing offers to choose from it will often come down to more than just numbers. A seller who has another home they are trying to purchase or a move they need to make, will be more concerned with making sure everything goes smoothly and quickly than making an extra $1,000.
Certain types of loans, like FHA, VA and USDA, can take longer to close or have higher inspection and appraisal criteria. Those are complications that may delay or even end a home sale. If you are a seller you will need to weigh those factors with price when evaluating multiple offers.
If you are a buyer and worried about making sure...
Oh the battle of trying to figure out if a place is stroller friendly before you load up the kid and drive all the way out and then hope that the trail is stroller-able for more than 500 feet. Bellingham has got some great stroller trails, probably the most of anywhere in Western Washington. So let me give you a few of my favorites that I have rolled my big wheeling stroller down.
How Busy on a Nice Day? Moderately Busy
Straight trail, no loop, ~2 miles
Lots of dogs, usually off leash
I love the Hertz trail in Lake Whatcom Park, it is one of my favorites year round because it gets nice sun on those cold winter afternoons and still has shade in the summer. Mainly, I love walking along the water. This is one of the most peaceful trails, the perfect spot for a break from the sounds of the city as you won’t even hear a car. In spring and summer it is filled with little Pine White butterflies and little lavender butterflies that no one has...
Buying a house in 2017 will feel kind of like you’ve jumped onto the subway just as the doors were closing. Your heart’s pounding and you’re winded from the race, but you made it—just in time.
OK, so maybe that’s a little exaggerated. But here’s the thing: Interest rates have begun to rise and will likely climb higher. Inventory is low and could shrink more. And home prices? Well, home prices are increasing—and they’re not predicted to fall any time soon.
If you don’t jump aboard the real estate train now, you might be too late.
“It’s tough to buy a home today in most places in the country because there are so few homes for sale,” says Jonathan Smoke, chief economist for realtor.com®. “But if you wait to buy, then you’re gambling that the market will be better for you to purchase in the future.”
And that’s not a smart gamble, our real estate experts say. If you’ve been toying with the idea of buying, or you anticipate a life change that might forc...
